it doesn’t take much to prove my point about chalk point kitchen being one of the best brunch spots in new york city, but i figured i’d make the effort since i absolutely love the place [and the staff].

3 Stars: “The combined efforts make for a sceney joint—bartenders are bow tied, the clientele leggy—but playful small plates and smart riffs on textbook cocktails warrant the buzz. “Chalkpoint Kitchen is a Market-to-Table restaurant in SoHo that is one of the best brunch spots in all of Manhattan. There are windows on the street allowing the place to have gorgeous natural light and chalk writing all over the windows relaying the specials. “With so many restaurants opening up everyday here in NYC sometimes the food or the name backing it isn’t always enough. Now more than ever it takes the continuous efforts of the staff, chefs, and every day detail in between to curate an amazing dining experience and Chalk Point Kitchen has that formula. The pearl oysters they serve — topped with toasted curry oil, salmon caviar, chervil and served atop a swirl of wakame — were caught off the shores of Montauk. They get their daikons — braised in a fermented black bean sauce and served with Thai basil — from Satur Farms on Long Island. “

“Step into the farm house-style eatery and come hungry, because Michelin starred executive chef Joseph Isidori is whipping up everything from Creamy Handmade Burrata and Thick Cut Berkshire Pork Chops to Montauk Pearl Oysters and Rhode Island Mussels (with kimchi!).
